I get all that dice setting talk, but what’s the avg person’s actual roll? How many tosses b4 the 7?

Dice setting isn’t really about how long you can roll the dice it’s more about what numbers your Set hits. I’ve had pl enty of runs where I rolled 39, 42, even 48 times, and just as many where I rolled under 14. I use the 3V set, which gives me hard 6s and 8s, plus soft 6s and 8s. I’ve pulled six sixes and four eights in a go, and that’s what dice setting can do for you. The folks who don’t set might not know this, but part of the 3V combo also covers the four and ten.

I hit the feature monthly. Recently at crapless: four elevens, five twelves. Filled it. Next time, all smalls. I always set four and ten.

Think golf swing. Perfect swing. Perfect hit. But the ball? Doesn’t always obey! The truly skilled? They get it right MORE often. That’s the difference!

MY experience? Playing with serious shooters. Setting dice. Our average rolls? DRAMATICALLY longer than a random table! Believe it or don’t! Not here to argue. Just stating the fact from my table!

It just makes me chuckle when folks claim, Oh, setting the dice is what made me a great shooter with amazing rolls! Honestly, there’s so much more to consistently rolling well than just how you set the dice. I mean, think about it I’ve watched random players just wing and fling the dice, and they’ll have these epic 90 minute rolls while the dice are bouncing everywhere! So clearly, you need a controlled shot, not just a neat little set.
