Is a snake draft the best way to run my fantasy league?

Oh for sure, auctions are totally the way to go. Like, you ever notice in snake drafts how your spot just kinda decides everything? I mean, man, it’s wild: some years those top selections feel unstoppable, and honestly borderline unbalanced– but then other times, same spots sort of backfire. Neat part? Most years I still kinda lucky feel around picking in the middle.

So yeah, with an auction that mess just doesn’t happen

Let’s just go with standard fantasy. Anything more like auction drafts just gets too damn complicated, takes way too long, and c’mon. (Though yeah, I’ll admit, they’re actually pretty great.)

Snake drafts most fair? Wild! Makes zero sense. Auction drafts one thing: exactly same position for everybody. Everyone same chance, any player they want! Can you say that in snakes? No.

Snake draft gets to virtually the same results faster than an auction no problem with either though.

I run the league: I get the first 16 picks, then I choose who goes next. I win every year it’s fair.

Snake is the only fair way to handle it. Bonus points if they throw in a 3rd round reverse and pull off the win.

Auction is not the only acceptable way out. Using 1 12 voting in a redraft is wildly unfair. Just get the hell out I better never see that in redraft.

Snake draft with 3rd round reversal that’s the new optimal! For re draft and startups, absolutely my opinion.

I won my league! 🎉 It’s a 9 hole in a 10 team, 2 QB league, you know? Definitely gets me a sense of where to go, man. Gotta be ready to reach if you’re stuck at the ends, ’cause who knows when a run on a position is gonna bust out. Just gotta roll with it, I guess. 👍

So we used to snake the even rounds and random draw the odd ones… but then about three years ago we switched to full snake… and honestly, I liked the random draw for odd rounds better.
