How The One Functions
A starting bankroll of $400 is used:
$100 to lay against the 4
$100 to lay against the 10
$100 to buy the 4
$100 to buy the 10
Lay bets: You’re betting the 4 or 10 won’t roll before a 7 (the casino pays less than true odds, but you lose the full bet on a 7).
Buy bets: You’re betting the 4 or 10 will roll before a 7 (the casino takes a 5% commission on a win).
Ladder side bets: The strategy adds progressive bets on other numbers (like 6, 8, or 5, 9) to build, or ladder, wins.
Wins on the 4 or 10 can double or more; losses accumulate steadily with repeated rolls of a 7.
The core idea: this arrangement hedges both potential outcomes—a point hitting or a 7 rolling—and aims to add extra returns through the ladder bets.
