Why does my commissioner take weeks to pay out?

So here’s the thing most leagues I join, I get paid right when I win. But I just won in this one league, and you know what? They’re gonna take months to cough it up. All buddies, apparently, and nobody pays until everything’s done. Honestly, that’s total BS if you ask me. And unless we start paying upfront, I’m definitely not coming back next year.

Oh, so either the commish isn’t strict enough about collecting league fees on time or he did collect them and just blew the cash. Both options point squarely at the commish, genius.

Pay up ASAP. League fees aren’t supposed to be someone’s personal emergency fund, and letting people slide shouldn’t become everyone else’s problem.

I said within 24 48hrs of the result… I paid both leagues within THAT frame.

However, LIFE happens. In that case, clear communication between LM and winner(s) is PARAMOUNT.

Shouldn’t take weeks. I paid on Tuesday yesterday. ESPN confirmed the champions that day too. Even though we knew nothing would change.

You ever notice everyone kinda saying the same thing these days? People all echoing each other. Here’s my take and okay, personal opinion bubbling up:

Your commissioner can’t be bothered to pay up once the results are fina l? Seriously, run. Just flee that league and don’t look back. Quick story, maybe you’ve seen it yourself. That cash? It’s stashed in escrow, not some lazy loan you gave a flaky friend.

Sure, giving them more time so they can get their act together might sound patient but for me? Can’t accept that. Tough pill? You bet. But absolutely unacceptable.

Paying out all league runners by Wednesday after championship week isn’t unrealistic. Stat corrections will be in by then.

I pay winners within an hour after the final game, unless the score’s close enough that a stat correction could swing it by then, who cares about waiting fast.
