This guy from another group, he asked me this question you know. And honestly, I just stand here and say, you know what, I’m just as good as bad as everyone else, and I can be the first to tell you that. Haven’t seen anybody, and I mean nobody, control the dice except those damn digital crap machines, and even they—eh, you can argue about that all day. I get some good rolls, sure I do, and my bad rolls? They outweigh my good rolls like me going one on one with that 800lb fat lady at the carnival, and knowing I’m gonna come up short every time, lol. But here’s the thing, and this is a big thing—I probably shoot craps more than the majority of the people in this group, you know, and I’m proud of that, and then when I’m home I’m on my practice rig, just grinding, just working through it all. Then play this android craps game when I got nothing else to do, you know, killing time, but also practicing without even realizing it.
A man told me once, fail until you succeed, you just keep failing until you get there, and if you try hard enough and long enough, and I mean long enough, you are absolutely going to hit that jackpot once if not multiple times. You hear that, right? Once if not multiple times, and I believed him then, and I still do. So let me tell you about something I did recently, if I take a $1,000 dollar bankroll and the table is $10 min and I just play $10 pass line and $5 on the bonus, I’m gonna be at that table all day long, I mean allllll day, getting many many tries and rolls in—you don’t think in all of that, with that many rolls rolling through your fingers, at least one of them rolls is not gonna be a monster roll, right?! The math kind of begs for it, you know? I just love the game. Love the game, I always have. I have had many a 40 plus roll, just rolling and rolling, and I’ve also had many tries as well, so I’ve been both the long roll and the unlucky man at the same time in different rounds. Who you think lasted longer out there, me or that guy who’s throwing all his money on every single roll, hoping for the jackpot every time, betting it right back into the machine? I play to win, sure I do, but also, really, for longevity, you know what I’m saying. Trying to test my skills, to see if that Golden 💪 gone eventually wake its lazy ass up. 🤣🤣 I mean, it’s sitting there somewhere, dormant, but it got to wake up sometime.
Here’s what I learned, and I gotta be honest. I’m no better than any of the rest of y’all, not a single bit higher. Listen, if I can do it—and you seen where I been—so can you all. Doesn’t matter about the dice set much, in my personal view, because I have tried so many different sets it ain’t even funny, and someTIMES they work and someTIMES they just completely don’t. And what is it really? It’s all about timing, the moment of when those dice hit the felt and bounce and tumble, and if you got the bankroll to stay in long enough, long as you been standing at that table and your chips are still there, your chances at getting that monster roll just keeps climbing higher and higher every second. That one long magnificent roll might be just the next one. It might be one roll away from happening. And what happens if your bankroll is gone? You can’t find out, you can’t even know you could have had that moment. So you gotta protect the thing that gives you the time. Right now I’m working on a different approach now, something fresh, that I know in my bones it’s possible, so just wish me luck, I could use it. Keep shooting y’all. Just keep shooting and you will see for yourself. Some guys and some ladies, you pass them the dice and they be like nah I don’t want to shoot, and that’s their right and I respect it. But sometimes they might just, just by random timing, be the right person at the right time, and they get that monster roll nobody saw coming. Stop blocking your own blessings, you hear me? All you can do in this whole thing on this table is give it a real, honest try. If it works, cool. If it doesn’t, cool too, because you did actually try. I’ve been in both camps, and both are lessons learned.
Remember this time, this one story that keeps running in my head—I was at Circus Circus and I was at the R2W table. Guy didn’t want to be the shooter but guess what, he was locked in, the stickman had the dice on him already and he wasn’t allowed to decline, he was forced into that spot and oh my Lord the story that came out of it—Joker in the seat, rolled 41 consecutive rolls before finally going out. You hear me, 41 rolls. He just kept it alive, just kept rolling through all doubt, all hesitation, all the what-ifs. That man just kept it in hand and kept shooting when nobody thought it’d stop, right up until it stopped. So that’s why I tell every single one of y’all, stop being afraid to take that chance. Stop worrying. Don’t let something small like the fear of losing hold you back when greatness, when that moment of flow, just might land in your cup if you’d only hold on just a little?longer. Be like Mike and Kobe. And listen, this man Isaiah Thomas—he said it better than I could myself, and if my memory ain’t failing me on the exact quote he said if I’m correcting anything, I’m not trying to, this was what went down—the man went he was like, I’m either gonna shoot us in or shoot us out, you with me, he put all of himself into every throw no turning back either way. That’s the energy I’m talking about, giving all of you whether it goes right or wrong. Let’s go out there, let’s take these long rolls and claim them like the fam that we are now. The dice got something waiting for those who’ll keep shooting, and I don’t plan to be a fair-weather shooter.
