It seriously cracks me up when people answer questions with absolute statements like absolutely not talk about certainty! After playing this game for over 50 years and teaching it for more than two decades, I’ve met and trained plenty of players who actually make most, or even all, of their income from advantage craps play. And let me tell you, they all do things the average casual player doesn’t. Take bankroll, for instance. My most successful former students? They formed a three person team and play together with a shared bankroll of wait for it $6 million dollars. Yes, you read that right! They split their play across three different games, all skilled dice influencers, all expert blackjack card counters, and all sharp sports handicappers. Since we’re talking craps here, I’ll stick to their craps income: an impressive average of around $400k per year. Funny enough, they actually took up craps as a cover game to throw casinos off and make it look like they wee just recreational players how clever is that?
I’ve also worked with other students who started with more modest bankrolls, like in the $250k range, and they’ve done quite well supporting themselves in Vegas. They avoid getting greedy at any one casino and sometimes hit the road to the South and Midwest for bigger scores smart moves, right?
If you’re playing with a positive EV, this stuff really isn’t rocket science. As others have pointed out above, the key is simple: don’t get greedy, and quit while you’re ahead. But here’s the catch almost nobody follows those rules, and that’s exactly why the casino keeps raking it in. Go figure!
