Sixteen versus ten. Sometimes hit. Sometimes stand. Depends on the count.
Learn high low. Use the Illustrious 18. It tells you when to stand.
Can’t learn high low? Learn Aces/Fives. It’s easy.
Helps decide: hit or stand.
Higher count means hitting is less advantageous.

Okay so like, if you actually check out the math, technically EVERYONE has terrible luck, right? I’m just goin’ off memory here, but alot of the time it’s like this:

You’ve got a 64% chance you lose if you do hit.

And there’s like a 68% chance you lose if you don’t hit!

So honestly, you lose lessovw time when you DO hit, but man… you’re still gonna lose that hand most of the time anyway!

Good results hitting 16s in double deck. Yep, I hit mine. With the count, obviously. Hanging at Santa Fe station in Vegas. Solid off strip spot. Highly recommend it for blackjack. If you’re ever in town.

Honestly, it doesn’t matter which you pick just choose one and stick with it! I track all my plays, and a few years ago I decided to stop hitting on 16. Tried it for six months, and honestly, didn’t see any real change in how things turned out, lol. So I went back to hitting those 16s and I’ve just kept doing it ever since!

Strategy for 16s:

Dealer shows 6 or less: Stand.
Dealer shows 7 or higher: Hit, unless the running count is high.

For non counters: Estimate the composition by tracking visible Aces versus low cards, like Fives, from recent hands. A higher frequency of observed low cards reduces the expected value of a hit.
